How Much Do You Really Make?

How do you know if you are making a true profit on eBay? What do you use to measure your profit margin? Have you considered every cost?

A tool I have found helpful is a profit calculator that helps you see exactly:

• How much you will spend
• How much your fees will be
• And unearths hidden fees you may not have thought about.
  

This is a great tool to help save money. You can get this tool as a stand alone program for your computer, or you can use an online calculator, but whichever you choose, I recommend that you get one.

I operated the first few months without understanding some of the hidden costs of selling on eBay and ended up owing eBay more than I was making. I learned the hard way how to adjust my costs with the starting price in order to create a profit.

A good calculator will help you understand starting price costs, upgrades, shipping, and Paypal fees.

Now, a profit calculator is not the only answer. It will not take into consideration re-listing an item. It will however help you estimate the costs and profitability of your auction.

A Dream Worth Having

One of my favorite quotes comes from a little picture that I found at Wal-mart that says, "Perseverance - A dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for."

Perseverance in business is passion. Passion drives people and keeps them focused. Passionate people do not give up because they do not have a reason to give up. Situations will attack us from different sides but passion takes circumstances and turns them into advantages and opportunities.

Trails and test within the business world are great opportunities to grow and to use what you have learned and then act. Too many people freeze in the midst of problems and miss out on opportunity. If you have a business, you have risk. If you have a business, you have problems. If you have a business, you will be tested (by customers, creditors, and more).

One of the best ways to experience joy in business is to be passionate about Jesus. Notice that James says perseverance matures and completes. Our passion for Jesus matures and completes us. This maturity and completion spills over into our business life and social life and other areas in our life.

You will find that you are the same person everywhere you go, and you will no longer have to put on airs. Your personality will become reflective of your passion for Jesus. Your appearance will be generated by your desire to serve God in all that you do. Your bearing will hold soundly as you stir the passion you have for Christ.

Is your dream worth having? Is it worth fighting for? Get passionate and watch it take off! Persevere and you will never have reason to quit!
